The set for this show incorporated sophisticated art-deco motifs while embracing the warmth and comfort of a lived-in home. Our production, set in the mid 1930's, had to both accommodate the needs from the script and accomplish the special effects for the supernatural storytelling. Charles' career in writing is prominently referenced with rows of bookshelves in the foyer, while Ruths' feminine touches as the "domestic head" of the home sprinkle the set and visually portray their delicate relationship.
