The foundational words for this design were "real" and "feminine." To accomplish the feeling of a fully complete and personal set, clutter in the form of mementos, community fliers, magazine advertisements, and client photos spray across this set. Levels are an essential device I have used in order to give the dialogue-heavy action some movement, setting this "old carport turned salon" lower than usual for this script-which incorporated the unique seating arrangement of this space.
