Design Statement:
My design inspiration for Legally Blonde came from an emotional reaction to being underestimated, and my interpretation of that feeling into physical scenery. I was drawn to stair step imagery, as I thought of the seemingly endless climb toward her goals that Elle faces in the play. Because of the quick scene shifts, these stair units, as well as bare-bones flying units, created each location through just the essentials.
