The bare apartment slowly being filled with boxes and furniture was a challenge in keeping this space interesting. Director Brenda Sparks and I continually came back to the idea of the "mosaic" as we discussed motifs that would be useful and apparent to the story. To keep this idea subtle and textural, I focused my mosaic motif into wood tones and splashes of color. An almost pixelated looking cityscape header bled down color onto the walls and the floor was dappled with chunks of color similarly. A sentence used in production meetings to some up what we were trying to accomplish was "all things in life come together in an imperfect and beautiful picture."
